Twenty-nine miles east, and flatter than its neighbour — which helps. Rated 5.0 from 35 Google reviews.
Flatter than Torquay, and that shows up in the day
Paignton is about twenty-nine miles by road from us. The useful difference from Torquay, three miles up the coast, is the ground: much of central Paignton and the streets behind the seafront are genuinely level. Where we can park near the door, a Paignton move is one of the more straightforward jobs in the bay.
Preston and the roads climbing away from the front are the exception — those behave more like Torquay, with gradients and steps up to the door.
Lets, and moves that come with a deadline
A large share of the housing here is rented, a lot of it furnished, and some of it switches between holiday letting and long lets through the year. Practically, that means:
- Part-loads are the norm, not the exception. If the furniture stays and only your things go, that is a man-and-van job.
- End-of-tenancy dates are fixed and unforgiving. Checkout is usually a set time on a set day. Book early for month-end — those dates go first.
- Getting the deposit back matters. Through our sister cleaning company we can clean the old place once we have emptied it, with 10% off when you book cleaning with the move. Doing it in that order is the point — cleaning a full flat achieves very little.
- Clearing what the tenant left. We hold upper-tier waste carrier registration CBDU631506, so a clearance can be done properly and legally at the same time.
