Edison & Co Removals Ltd (company number 16894167), registered office 38 Burnett Road, Plymouth, PL6 5BH, is the data controller for the information you give us.

What we collect

When you contact us for a quote or book a move we collect your name, phone number, email address, the addresses involved in the move, and details of what is being moved. If you send photographs of your belongings we hold those too.

Why we hold it

To quote for your move, carry it out, invoice you, and deal with anything arising afterwards. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed jobs are kept for six years, which is the period we may need them for tax and for any claim.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than where we need to in order to do the job — for example a cleaning partner if you book cleaning alongside your move — or where the law requires it. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing by third parties.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@edisonco-removals.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
